interesting macro with excellent DoF

Very cool, I love the greens.

Nice colors, could use a slight boost in contrast, also I would prefer the focus to be on his eye.

@poohblah Yea, I would prefer that as well but no chance. It was so little, and it was not possible for me to understand where the focus really was. Any recommendations on that? Any tutorials, maybe?

Nice camouflage picture, and fairly goof focus. Most disturbing thing here is the little yellow stem in the front. As for the composition, he should be more to the left of the frame.

incredible capture!

A good and interesting capture of a beautiful insect. Some suggestions/comments:
* I find the crop a little tight at the bottom
* The blurry bit in front of the hind leg is distracting (but wouldn't be very difficult to heal/clone out)
* Composition might have been a little better with the grasshopper more to the right
* Better focus/sharpening required on the eye
* Tone down the title/signature line at the bottom as it's quite distracting

What kind of camer and gear did you use???
Its splendid!

I used Olympus 5050 in Super Macro mode. That's all I have.
Also this little thing helped incredibly because I have put the camera just 1/2 cm away from him and he stayed still!!
